JAPANDI STYLE

The building represents modern minimalism in the spirit of Japandi, with clear influences from organic and bioclimatic architecture. Japandi is a fusion of Japanese wabi-sabi minimalism with the Scandinavian functionality of hygge.

Simplicity and harmony: clean, horizontal lines, flat roofs, architectural concrete and a subdued, natural color palette (beige, gray, light wood).
Integration with nature: Extensive glazing and a seamless transition between the house and the garden cultivate the Japanese principle of connecting the interior with the exterior. Full-height windows blur the line between the building's interior and the surrounding nature.
Natural materials: facades finished with vertically arranged light wood combined with raw, light architectural concrete. White, gray, and natural wood tones dominate. Vertical light wood formwork lends the building a lightness and echoes traditional Japanese facades and Scandinavian homes. Vertical bays and openwork arcades create a play of light and shadow and provide privacy.
